Update on my surgery & my sis

Hi all, I’m back home recuperating from my gallbladder removal surgery. It’s been a long month. 3 times admitted to the hospital and finally it just got so bad, they had to do an emergency op. I’ve been staying at my dad’s for a week after that since I could not carry heavy things a.k.a. my daughter or climb stairs. But I miss home so much I decided to return a few days ago :)

Also sadly, a day after my surgery, my dad told me that my youngest sister has passed away. She was only 23. She has been in intensive care unit for more than a month fighting for her life. She had Lupus (SLE) and it had attacked her kidneys, lungs and she also had bleeding in her brain. She was in a lot of pain. I’m sad to see her go but I’m glad she’s no longer in pain. My last visit with her was perfect and I was happy to see her smile. We resolved a lot of things and I hope she was happy at that moment.

Last but not least, I would like to thank all of you dear customers and friends for all your wishes, prayers and amazing patience. I’m not a stranger to deaths in the family having lost my mom, her 2 sisters, my grandfather and now my sis. Still I can’t say it gets any easier.

I don’t have a blog yet but am into cross stitching, its my passion. I came across yours and read where your sister died of complication due to her Lupus and am so sorry, so very sorry!!! I myself am suffering from scleroderma with overlapping Lupus and it is now attacking my lungs. I was in the hospital this past year for 38 days and still am pretty much housebound. Your sister was so young though as I am at least 49. I just hate to hear when it takes the life of anyone much less a young person, again I am so sorry. God be with you and my prayers are with you. I’m sorry to hear that you have it too :( My sister was young and I still think of her a lot. The worse thing is she wasn’t sure she had it till the last 2 months of her life so it was too late for the doctors to do anything. By the time they had figured out what it was, the Lupus had already attacked almost all the major parts of her body and it was irreversible.

I do hope you get better. 49 is still young too and I hope you can have a healthy life. My cousin, 32 is now healthy after having lupus for her whole life. She takes her medication and now the doctor has taken her off it.

At least you are cross stitching at home, it does help doesn’t it? It feels like you are doing something so amazing even at home. I love the feeling after I’ve completed a project :)

Take care and my prayers are with you too!
