A great project starts with choosing the right kit. Use this guide to understand what to look for before ordering and find the options that suit your stitching style.

What is included in my kit?

Kit contents can vary by design and selected option. Each product listing provides the specific details for that kit, including the color count, stitch dimensions, finished size, and available fabric and chart choices.

If you would like to confirm the exact contents of a particular kit, including the thread brand, floss quantity, needle, hoop, or other tools, please contact us with the design name and selected variant before ordering. We are happy to help you check the details.

Will I have enough thread?

Thread quantities can vary depending on the design, fabric count, and stitching style. Our kits are prepared with 30-50% extra threads for the listed design, but individual thread usage can vary, so we cannot guarantee that every stitcher will have the same amount remaining.

If you are concerned that you may be running low on a particular color, please contact us before substituting a shade. Include your order number, design name, chart color or symbol, and a photo of the remaining thread and stitched area so we can help.

Which difficulty and fabric should I choose?

If you are looking for a smaller project to get started, try our curated beginner collection.

For a larger and more detailed project, explore our Premium collection.

Difficulty depends on both the design and your stitching experience, so we recommend checking the stitch dimensions and color count on each product listing before choosing your project.

Our designs may be available with 14-count Aida, 14-count gridded Aida, or 18-count Aida, depending on the design. Some kits also offer standard or larger chart symbols to make following the pattern easier.

The fabric count refers to the number of squares per inch. At the same stitch count, 18-count Aida produces a smaller finished design than 14-count Aida. Always use the finished dimensions stated on the individual product listing for the fabric count you select.

Do you use AI?

We are old school artists, and we come from a family of artists and writers. We have published books and acquired art for designing cross stitch the real way of scouring sites, approaching artists and using wikiart as our predominant source in looking for the best art to design cross stitch with.

How are our cross stitch charts created?

Our cross stitch designs are not mass-produced pattern mill charts. Each design is created using professional design software and then carefully refined by hand. We spend hours of detailed work adjusting and removing unnecessary confetti stitches.
The result? Beautiful designs that look amazing on fabric and are a joy to stitch from start to finish.

We’ve been cross stitching for 25 years, long before we started designing our own patterns. And we want you to enjoy cross stitching as much as we do.

What is the difference between 14-count and 18-count Aida?

14-count Aida: 14 stitches per inch; larger holes make it easier for beginners. Finished pieces are bigger.

18-count Aida: 18 stitches per inch; smaller holes give more detail but can be harder to work with. Finished pieces are smaller.

Using Pattern Keeper

Our patterns can be used with the Pattern Keeper App with a few adjustments. Here's a quick guide on how to use our charts on this very useful app.

How to Use Our Charts with Pattern Keeper:

  1. Import the pattern into Pattern Keeper.
  2. Enter any thread numbers to move forward.
  3. Tap the 3 dots (top right) → Advanced Options.
  4. elect Assign a Flat Grey Color to All Unassigned Symbols (2nd option).
  5. Tap the arrow at the bottom.
  6. Your chart will now appear as a black & white symbol chart—you can highlight symbols to stitch.

Using Markup R-XP (new!)

Our patterns are compatible with Markup R-XP app on phone/tablet.

How to Use Our Charts with Markup R-XP:

  1. Click Add New Project - Choose PDF.
  2. Add the PDF that you have downloaded from us, click the file to start the process. App will ask to identify certain pages.
  3. Follow their easy instructions on selecting the chart pages, the symbol page and the picture page. Click Next with each option.
  4. Set the overlap to 2 if you see the shaded 2 rows/column on the page and 0 if it's not there.
  5. Click Done.
  6. Open the chart again to see the chart ready for you to stitch and mark.

Do take note that this app is only free for a 2 week trial period, after which there is an annual cost.

Can you print the chart and mail it to me?

Absolutely! We understand that not all of our customers have easy access to a printer.

Just send us a message with the product SKU number, and we’ll create a product listing with a printed chart option. Please note that shipping fees will apply to printed chart orders.

Can I get a black and white chart?

Yes, you definitely can! While the option isn’t available by default, our charts are highly customizable. If you’re ordering a kit, simply add a note requesting a black and white chart. For PDFs, just send us a request before placing your order, and we’ll prepare it for instant download.

Do you give enough threads?

We include 30–60% extra threads beyond what the kit requires. Be sure to separate the threads into sets of 2 strands before starting your cross stitching. Using 3 strands or the entire thread may result in not having enough for the entire design. If you prefer to stitch with 3 strands, please contact us to arrange for additional threads.

Is your design printed on fabric?

All of our designs are Counted Cross Stitch, not stamped, so you will need to refer to the chart and stitch on a blank Aida fabric.

I bought a kit but I would like a PDF too for safekeeping.

That can definitely be arranged! If you’d like to purchase the same PDF, just let us know, and we’ll provide a link to get it at 50% off. If you’ve purchased a kit and PDF together, let us know and we’ll refund 50% of the PDF cost back to you.

Can I sell my finished cross stitch?

Yes, you can! While our charts cannot be copied, sold, or distributed, your finished cross stitch work is entirely your own. Feel free to sell it on eBay, Etsy, or anywhere else you’d like.

I lost a page/I tore a page of my printed chart :(

We’re here to help! :) Just send us a message, and as long as you’ve ordered the kit from us, we’ll email you that page free of charge.

I lost my PDF from years ago, can I get a replacement?

The best part of our PDF service is that it comes with a lifetime warranty! You can get a free replacement as long as the design is still active in our shop. Unfortunately, discontinued designs can no longer be replaced.

Please note that our designs are occasionally upgraded or tweaked, so your replacement may not be an exact copy of the original.
