Albert Bierstadt
Albert Bierstadt (1830–1902) was an American painter who became famous for his breathtaking landscapes, particularly of the American West. Born in Germany and raised in the U.S., Bierstadt was part of a wave of artists who helped shape the iconic vision of the American wilderness. He was known for his grand, dramatic depictions of mountains, rivers, and expansive skies, making viewers feel as though they could step right into the sweeping vistas of the Rocky Mountains or Yosemite Valley.
