The Art of Stitch began in 2006 with a small GeoCities HTML website (remember those?). We shared our favorite cross-stitch brands with fellow enthusiasts and discovered an incredible community devoted to this amazing hobby. Six years later, in 2012, we took a huge leap by designing our own brand of cross-stitch patterns and joined Etsy, where original and handmade ideas are celebrated.

As avid cross-stitchers, we drew from our own experiences, incorporating our likes, dislikes, and your feedback to create charts tailored to your preferences. While we continue to showcase our work on Etsy, it's here in our own little corner that we truly thrive and find inspiration to design more and more for you.
We do not use AI
We are old school artists, and we come from a family of artists and writers. We have published books and acquired art for designing cross stitch the real way of scouring sites, approaching artists and using wikiart as our predominant source in looking for the best art to design cross stitch with.

We pack our kits in reusable folders, perfect for storing your projects. Our charts are printed on both sides to reduce waste, and our boards are made from recycled materials. While we typically provide threads that are about 1 meter long, sometimes there are shorter lengths, which we include in your kits instead of discarding. We don’t use any single-use plastics, and all our kits are prepared in a smoke-free environment. We’re committed to doing our part to make the world a better place for our kids!
