Canadian painter Emily Carr's Blue Sky turns tall, bare tree trunks into flowing ribbons of electric blue, teal and deep brown. As a slim 2 x 8 inch bookmark, its bold colours and upward movement make a striking, modern little stitch.

WHAT IS IN A PATTERN

Printable PDF chart (A4 or US Letter), a color cover page of the finished design, a DMC thread list with lengths needed, step-by-step stitching instructions, full color symbol chart and an instant download after checkout.

Works on phone, tablet, or computer — and fully compatible with Pattern Keeper for digital progress tracking.

HOW YOU RECEIVE IT

You get a download link on the order page and by email straight after checkout.

STANDARD VS LARGER

We give you two symbol size options so you can stitch the way you love.

Standard Symbols – A little bigger than the usual charts, these fit more of the pattern on each A4 page. Perfect if you like fewer pages and are comfy with regular-sized symbols.

Large Symbols – Around 30% bigger, making them super easy on the eyes. They do take up more pages, but many stitchers find them much more relaxing to follow.

Note: Bundled Sets may not include the option of Larger Symbols.

RETURNS

Unfortunately for digital downloads, we have a no-return policy. However if there is an issue with your chart, do let us know and we will replace the chart for you.

About the artist

Emily Carr

Emily Carr (1871–1945) painted the Canadian wilderness with a boldness and spiritual intensity that was entirely her own. The British Columbia artist spent decades documenting the forests, totem poles, and coastal landscapes of the Pacific Northwest in a style that drew on Post-Impressionism and Expressionism while remaining unmistakably Canadian — the towering evergreens, the dense coastal undergrowth, the vast swirling skies that make her work feel less like landscape and more like an encounter with something elemental.
