William Michael Hartnett
William Michael Hartnett (1823–1894) was an American painter best known for his realistic and highly detailed still life paintings. Born in Pennsylvania, Hartnett initially trained as a portrait painter before transitioning to still life, a genre in which he would become particularly influential.
