Arkady Rylov's At Sunset paints a Russian lake beneath a sky of blazing scarlet, orange and deep indigo, the colours mirrored in the still water below. Bold and almost abstract, it's a vivid, dramatic landscape that glows on the wall.

WHAT IS IN A PATTERN

Printable PDF chart (A4 or US Letter), a color cover page of the finished design, a DMC thread list with lengths needed, step-by-step stitching instructions, full color symbol chart and an instant download after checkout.

Works on phone, tablet, or computer — and fully compatible with Pattern Keeper for digital progress tracking.

HOW YOU RECEIVE IT

You get a download link on the order page and by email straight after checkout.

STANDARD VS LARGER

We give you two symbol size options so you can stitch the way you love.

Standard Symbols – A little bigger than the usual charts, these fit more of the pattern on each A4 page. Perfect if you like fewer pages and are comfy with regular-sized symbols.

Large Symbols – Around 30% bigger, making them super easy on the eyes. They do take up more pages, but many stitchers find them much more relaxing to follow.

Note: Bundled Sets may not include the option of Larger Symbols.

RETURNS

Unfortunately for digital downloads, we have a no-return policy. However if there is an issue with your chart, do let us know and we will replace the chart for you.

About the artist

Arkady Alexandrovich Rylov

Arkady Alexandrovich Rylov (1870–1939) was one of Russia's finest landscape painters — a master of capturing the wild, open beauty of the Russian countryside with a freshness and luminosity that sets him apart from his contemporaries. His most celebrated work, In the Blue Expanse, is a soaring composition of white swans against a brilliant blue sky that has become one of the most beloved images in Russian art.

Wonderful!

My order arrived just 4 days after placing the order! I have started working on [At Sunset] by Arkady Rylov and the vibrant colours are an absolute delight to work with. The kit itself is packaged neatly all in a waterproof bag which is easy to carry around for some impromptu stitching wherever I am. The instructions were clear and concise. I love everything about the kits I bought and would definitely be a returning customer! Thank you!
Edit: I have included a picture of my 1-week progress to demonstrate how the colours turn out on the aida fabric

That looks like a beautiful start! Do send us the finished work and we would love to feature you in our gallery and our social media! :D

I’ve just started this project, the colours are gorgeous. The pattern is easy to download and for me, the larger symbols chart is a big plus!

Thank you!

I just received my second kit (so far) from The Art of Stitch and I am so excited to start!
There were problems with shipping in the beginning, but Lauren kept me informed at every stage and my kit arrived in a very timely manner.
I have 3 pages of liked kits and design pdfs, so The Art of Stitch can expect a regular customer in me. Thank you for the hours of enjoyment and relaxation!
