Few artists understood Shakespeare's Juliet as intuitively as Waterhouse — and this beautifully painted figure study captures both the youth and the emotional depth of the character with a warmth and Pre-Raphaelite beauty that rewards every careful and attentive stitch.

WHAT IS IN A PATTERN

Printable PDF chart (A4 or US Letter), a color cover page of the finished design, a DMC thread list with lengths needed, step-by-step stitching instructions, full color symbol chart and an instant download after checkout.

Works on phone, tablet, or computer — and fully compatible with Pattern Keeper for digital progress tracking.

HOW YOU RECEIVE IT

You get a download link on the order page and by email straight after checkout.

STANDARD VS LARGER

We give you two symbol size options so you can stitch the way you love.

Standard Symbols – A little bigger than the usual charts, these fit more of the pattern on each A4 page. Perfect if you like fewer pages and are comfy with regular-sized symbols.

Large Symbols – Around 30% bigger, making them super easy on the eyes. They do take up more pages, but many stitchers find them much more relaxing to follow.

Note: Bundled Sets may not include the option of Larger Symbols.

RETURNS

Unfortunately for digital downloads, we have a no-return policy. However if there is an issue with your chart, do let us know and we will replace the chart for you.

About the artist

John William Waterhouse

John William Waterhouse (1849–1917) painted women the way dreams paint them — luminous, mysterious, and caught in moments of quiet tension that feel suspended in time. The English Pre-Raphaelite painter spent his career immortalising figures from mythology, literature, and legend with a warmth, beauty, and emotional depth that feels as alive today as it did in Victorian England. His most celebrated works — A Mermaid, The Lady of Shalott, Psyche Entering Cupid's Garden — are among the most beloved and searched subjects in the entire cross stitch kit world, and for good reason.

Our John William Waterhouse cross stitch kit collection brings his most iconic works to life in counted cross stitch form.

I have always wanted to do this picture. I love the fact this site has large symbols.
